Open at Oregon Tech

Many Oregon Tech professors are already using open resources in thier classes. See a list of professors and classes supported through the library incentive program. You can also search a number of linked Open resource platforms for content that may be available in your subject.

Temporary Access to Textbooks / E-books 

Cambridge University Press

Cambridge University Press is allowing Free access to the html version of all 700 textbooks in the Cambridge Core collection. This is an extensive collection containing textbooks for almost all disciplines, be it language, computer science or mathematics.

McGraw-Hill Education

McGraw-Hill is providing free access, training and support for McGraw-Hill Connect and ALEKS digital learning platforms to instructors and students who need to urgently move to an online format for their Spring 2020 courses. 

Access Engineering

Mcgraw-Hill is also opening up AccessEngineering for all faculty and students and their institutions where books on AccessEngineering have been or are currently being used. See: AccessEngineering Distance Learning for more information.

Public Books

Many academic presses have made hundreds of their titles freely accessible online. The Public Books Database aims to catalog such resources in a single location and to highlight titles of particular interest. The listings will update regularly. 

Getty Publications

Getty Publications produces award-winning titles that result from or complement the work of the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Getty Research Institute.

Internet Archive

The Internet Archive offers over 20,000,000 freely downloadable books and texts. There is also a collection of 1.3 million modern eBooks that may be borrowed by anyone with a free archive.org account.
